Essentially, I’m high school student with a lot of interests and too few hours in the days. I’m an avid reader, photographer and musician. I love to jog and organize, and writing has always been my passion. I paint (as you may have suspected) and act as well. I think biology and psychology are fascinating. In fact, I think most things about life are fascinating.
I can’t promise to update this blog often, nor can I pretend that it will follow a recurring theme. I am a student of the universe, and my curiosity knows no bounds. But I hope you’ll enjoy my thoughts, findings and phases as I continue to grow and explore this wonderful place called Earth.
I asked five friends to describe me in one word, and every single one of them chose “passionate.” And I have to say, I would never be the passionate, determined and optimistic person I am today if I didn’t go through all I did. I used to want to end my life, and now I could not take a single second for granted. Depression and anxiety are daily struggles, and body-image doubts and self-harm tendencies tend to cast fleeting shadows from time to time, but these trials make me all the more happy to be alive and be able to appreciate the world the way many entitled youths never will. It’s the little moments, the small efforts, the tiny details that make life so rich.
There’s a quote by F. Scott Fitzgerald that makes my heart soar. “For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”
